What is the schedule of impounding?

Dog Impounding Schedule is from Monday to Friday. It is prohibited for the owner or keeper of any dog to allow the same to go loose in any place outside the premises of the owner. Any dog found outside the premises of the owner shall be considered as stray dog and shall be seized by any authorized personnel. (City Ordinance No.025, s. 2000)

When can I claim my Impounded Dog?

Dog owners may claim/redeem their dogs at the City Pound from monday to friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Dog owners are given a period of five days inclusive of saturdays, sundays and holidays to claim their dogs. After five days, unclaimed dogs shall be offered for adoption or donation to schools.

What are the requirements in claiming impounded dogs?

Requirements include Vaccination Record of dog; identification of owner and payment of corresponding fees (Impounding Fine of P200.00 and maintenance fee of P20.00 per day of stay at the dogpound)

What will happen to the unclaimed impounded dogs?

Unclaimed dogs shall be offered for adoption or donation to schools for academic/scientific studies.
