Disiplina Muna team slates various activities

13 November 2020 – The city’s newly-created Disiplina Muna Coalition Team (DMCT) chaired by Mayor Benjamin Magalong slated several activities before the year ends aimed at activating the real concept of governance where the citizenry is  aware of their roles and responsibilities and are actively involved in nation-building.

The Mayor earlier  issued executive order no. 153, series of 2020, adopting and endorsing the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) “Disiplina Muna National Advocacy Campaign”.

It also forms the coalition team tasked to initiate plans for the effective and efficient roll-out of the program in the Summer Capital.

Around 256 barangay officials were scheduled to take their oath as members of the Disiplina Muna Brigada team during flag-raising rites at City Hall, November 9, but was indefinitely postponed to a later date due to inclement weather.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Baguio office chief Evelyn Trinidad said Brigada members are tasked to advocate the Disiplina program and be role models in their respective barangays.

Her office is designated as the DCMT head secretariat that consolidates and closely monitors the team’s directives, instructions and commitments.

Other events in the pipeline are a ‘tree growing” activity at  the Arboretum, Botanical Garden on Nov. 26 where 500 seedlings are to be planted and cared for by DMCT members in coordination with the city environment management and parks office (CEPM0).

Scheduled on December 3 is a Disiplina Muna seminar  at a still undisclosed venue with representatives from various sectors as target participants.

All the activities will strictly adhere to minimum health protocols, Trinidad assured.
