BAGUIO CITY – On an experimental basis, Session road shall be converted as a green lane on Dec. 1, with all vehicles going downwards, thus minimizing traffic and eliminating excessive exhaust smoke.

A bicycle lane within the same area is envisioned next, the mayor said.

Coding Scheme Suspended up to Jan 1, 2010

BAGUIO CITY- Mayor Reinaldo Bautista, Jr. last week issued Administrative Order 169 suspending the implementation of the number coding scheme for private vehicles from Nov. 11, Wednesday next week, up to Jan. 1, 2010.

P1.5 Million Proposed for Installation of Screens to Prevent Flooding at City Camp Lagoon

BAGUIO CITY – Councilor Isabelo Cosalan Jr. has proposed an appropriation of P1.5 million for the installation of screens along tributaries and canals leading to the City Camp lagoon to prevent flooding anew in the area.

Mayor Gives up Hope on Adcon Hosting

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. had finally given up on salvaging the city’s hosting of the 21st Philippine Advertising Congress (PAC) which was moved to Subic Bay Freeport following the onslaught of typhoon “Pepeng.”

The mayor said the supposed reevaluation of the city last November 4 by the Advertising Board (AdBoard) which the mayor earlier hoped would lead to a change of heart  on the part of the organizers to retain the city as the venue, did not materialize because of the threat of another howler, typhoon “Santi.”

Housing Assistance Sought for Typhoon Pepeng Victims

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. appealed to the National Housing Authority (NHA) to extend housing assistance to the 301 families in the city whose houses were either totally or partially damaged by typhoon “Pepeng.”

Mayor to Veto Council Measure Awarding Sari-Sari Stalls

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. Thursday said he will veto the city council resolution awarding the 56 stalls at the sari-sari section of the city market because six of the stalls are not suitable for award at all.
