Squidpay goes to the market

11 September 2020 – Squidpay, the city’s partner in cashless transaction gives out over two thousand loadable cards to market stall holders on Monday, Sept 14, with activation on Sept. 16.

To avail of the cards, market stallholders are advised to show their valid IDs and fill out the customer information forms at the Squidpay booths, near the fruit and vegetable, and pasalubong areas.

According to Engr. Felipe Puzon, Jr. the cards to be given out are of zero value but could be loaded with the amount chosen by the holder.

Squidpay is pushed to be used for cashless and contactless transactions to minimize the transmission of Covid-19 virus. It may also be used for fare in public transportation, and other transactions. – Julie G. Fianza
