Outstanding, retirees and loyalty awardees feted in Civil Service program

Outstanding and loyal employees, and even retirees of the city government working force were honored in fitting ceremonies at a local hotel, last Friday, Sept. 28.

The program coincided with the 118th anniversary celebration of the Civil Service Commission, with the theme, “Lingkod Bayani: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan.”

For serving the city government for forty years, Purificacion Serna and Josephine Bay-ed from the Health Services Office (HSO), Dominador Macayan, Sr.of the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO), and Remedios Mendoza of the Treasury Office were given plaques of recognition and other tokens.

The thirty-five year loyalty awardees are: Mauro Bayacsan, Miguel Bendian, Rodrigo Lorenzo and Dominador Urbanozo, all of the General Services Office (GSO); Amancio Gatchalian, Jr. and Edgar Victorio Olpindo of the Engineering Office (CEO), Alexander Laceste of the City Building and Architect’s Office (CBAO), and Melba Villanueva of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP).

For the thirty-year loyalty awardees, Atanacio Bagawe, Sr., Emmanuel Ganaden, Sr.,Federico Maliones, and Joseph Pomecha, are from the CEO; Liza Bulayungan,, Lourdes Samson and Myrna Valencerina from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO); Teodora Catolos and Regina Lapitan are from the HSO; Alexander Collantes, Ernesto Collantes, Larcy Jose and Ephraem Placido are from the GSO; Wilberto Dacumos (CBAO); Gilda Fabian (CEPMO); Noel Flora and Jocelyn Lardizabal from the Treasury Office (CTO), Lerma Roque of the City Mayor’s Office (CMO); and Emmanuel Valencia of the Assessors Office were honored.

The 49 25 year awardees are: Braulio Abad, Bernardo Campos, Jr., Antonio Lachica, and Clarence Wadwadan, all from CEPMO; Maria Almaya Addawe and Editha Aguilar from the City Assessors Office, Ofelia Adube, Joel Kawi, Joel Clayton Ligligen, Julita Macasaet, Marissa Nibaten, Gina Ortencio, Dina Posadas, and Rowena Vallesterol from the City Treasurer’s Office.

Geraldine Angulo, Elpidio Donggayao, Dexter Fernandez, Gabriel Keith, Jr., Sinor Lagyop, and Jasmin Rivera are all from CMO Rolando Bautista (CPDO), Joel Bartolome, Leonida Catbagan and Jaime Salinas (CEO), Raymund Cordero (CBAO), Florecita Cortez (Accounting Office), Ruben Kigis, Jr. and Eugene Dominic Valbuena (Office for Administration), Jonalyn Pagada (SP), Silardo Bested and Thaddeus Pagaduan from the City Veterinary Office; Edwin Sabalburo (Library), Emilia Tallongen and Rowena Velasco (HSO), Edgar Valdez (Prosecutors Office), and Catalina Zamora, (Human Resource Management Office) .

There are also seventy one 20-year; thirty-eight 15-year; and seventy 10 year service awardees.

Angel Nerveza from the CBAO, Racquel Ancheta, Florecita Cortez, Sheryl Samuel and Marilou Tan of the Accounting Office were honored for completing their masteral degree while employed with the city.

Thirty retirees from October 2017 to September 2018 were presented; Ruby Alindoza, Virginia Bakian, Dr. John Tinoyan, and Rowena Velasco (HSO); Jose Atanacio and Rafael Tallocoy (CMO), Olga Buan, (SP); Rosalino Degamo, Daniel Galdayen, Cordelia Lacsamana, Ferdinand Macatantan and Donald Mina, (CEPMO); Ernesto Del Rosario, Rufino Halligao, Juan Manantan, Napoleon Ocampo, Sr. (CEO); Medardo Dino,

Maria Fernandez, Vilma Ferreol, Remedios Mendoza, Brenda Ramos, (CTO), Reynaldo Franco, Rosalina Lubina, (Assessors Office) Alejandro Gatawa, Fulgencio Merto, Magdalena Olatic, (GSO); Flordeliza Lagera, (CSWDO), Remegio Mariquita (CBAO); Eugene Nibaten (City Budget Office), and Fe Requilman from the City Library.

Mayor Mauricio Domogan lauded the outstanding and loyal employees while asking continuing public service to the utmost, and bid the retirees to be models and continue serving the community well.

For September as CSC month, clean-up and community services, employee sharing through medical, dental optical and basic laboratory services was also done. -juliegfianza
