Half of Session road closed for Baguio day
A temporary closure of the upper half of Session road is contained in an Administrative Order just issued by Mayor Mauricio Domogan.
This is in celebration of Baguio’s 109th charter day celebration; with activities such as Zumba, band performance, pocket events in exhibition of arts and culture, chalk art painting activity, mini-concerts.
A concert goes on at the top of Session road, thus performers and the viewing public would need maneuvering areas.
From Friday, August 31, midnight up to Sept. 1 midnight, the part of Session road, going down; and the part going up shall be closed to vehicular traffic; except the intersections with Lower Mabini street, Calderon street and Governor Pack road.
Appropriate traffic schemes are implemented by the Baguio City Police Office-Traffic Management Bureau to reduce traffic congestion in the area and vicinity.
It was stated in the AO that the city government gives utmost importance and impact in commemorating the 108th Baguio Charter Day celebration, thus the closure.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating and Moving Beyond 109 Through Culture of Creativity.”- juliegfianza
