Baguio charter day celebration exec committee created
BAGUIO CITY- Preparations for the 103rd Baguio Charter has started with the creation of the executive committee as to Administrative Order 84, s. of 2012 issued last week.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan heads the committee, with City Administrator Atty. Carlos Canilao and Councilor Elmer Datuin as co-chairpersons. Datuin is the council committee chair for tourism and special events.
The executive committee shall plan fitting charter day celebration activities, over see their proper execution and implementation, and find ways and means to support said activities.
The committee shall also set policies, guidelines, rules and regulations and appropriate measures to ensure the successful conduct of lined-up programs and activities.
With additional staff from the city administrator and mayor’s offices, the executive committee is composed of the city public information officer, Supervising Tourism Officer Benny Alhambra, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office, Sports Development Officer, Health Services Officer Dr. Florence Reyes, Environment and Parks Management Officer Cordelia Lacsamana and the Baguio Tourism Council Representative, as members.
Councilors Joel Alangsab and Karminn Cheryl Dinney Yangot , President of Punong Barangays and Sangguniang Kabataan, respectively are also committee members, as with representatives from the congressman’s, mayor’s office and City Treasurer’s Office.
City Accountant Antonio Tabin, City Budget Officer Atty. Leticia Clemente, City Engineer Leo Bernardez, City Building Officer Engr. Oscar Flores, General Services Officer Romeo Concio, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Mary Namuhe, and school principals of the Pines City National High School and Baguio City National High School are also members.
